breton stripes party day

today i'm linking up to Everybody, Everywear to show off muh stripes along with a lot of other fabulous ladies.

 shirt:  thrifted, unknown ($1)
cardigan:  thrifted, express
tank:  buckle
khakis:  jc penney
shoes:  thrifted, st. john's bay
necklace:  thrifted, unknown
belt:  thrifted, unknown
hair accessory:  me

can i just say how nice it was this morning to wake up and know the piece that my outfit was supposed to revolve around?  i had fun with this, and i've been itching all day to finally get home and post some pics.  i didn't realize until just now in my breakdown how much of my outfit was thrifted.  i wish i could remember how much everything cost, but the inspiration piece being only $1 is pretty awesome in itself.  i'm not so sure that these would qualify as breton stripes, as i think they're a bit too fine, but it counts, right?

see that hair up there?  i will never take a functioning hair dryer for granted again.  mine pooped out on me monday morning and the past two days, i've resorted to sitting inches away from a space heater for a good twenty minutes to dry.  after embracing dealing with my natural frizz all day yesterday, i couldn't bear another curly day.  showering last night wasn't an option either, because guess who actually managed to roll out of bed this morning at five to P90X?  that's right, this girl.

i totally survived rocked it.  eat my shorts, chest & back workout.  i chewed you up and spit you out.

  1. The first thing I was going to compliment you was your hair. So, if it was a result of a broken hair dryer, you should never fix it!
Do people tell you like you look like Reese Witherspoon? Because you do. And I think she is the cutest!
I really like this website and I'm so glad you were able to pictures before it got too dark so you could share it!

I've found a warm and open oven helps dry my hair... it also creates a lot of frizz though :(
